Here we tell the patients of the concerns of the medicine.

We are very concerned that patients don’t get a priapism reaction or 4 hour erection.

Priapism is a rigid erection with little or no flexibility lasting more than 4 hours. If left untreated, it may cause pain and potentially tissue damage if not promptly reduced. A priapism occurs as a result of over-reaction to a specific combination of vasodilators. Patients on trimix are responsible for its proper use and for taking all necessary steps to promptly resolve such complication should it occur.

Yes, It must be treated with urgency to prevent damage. You must apply the reversal medicine the same you applied the trimix to reverse the erection. Patients on trimix are responsible for its proper use and for taking all necessary steps to promptly resolve such complication should it occur.

After 2 hours of an unrelenting, 100% full erection, Stop all forms of sexual stimulation. Take the reversal antidote medication called phenylephedrine. It is provided at 1 milligram per 5 milliliter vial. Please withdraw 50 units on the syringe and inject into the penile shaft exactly the same way as you would with trimix. Repeat this step after 20 minutes if needed. If that does not work and the erection remains full, you must proceed to the nearest emergency room immediately. Once settled, please fill out our contact form to report the incident. The physician will then adjust your medication to a different combination to prevent this from happening again.

Your physician will adjust the formula to prevent further occurrence of this problem.

You may have either developed scarring or fibrosis which is an uncommon complication of injections, or you may have had a pre-existing scar prior to application which has now become more pronounced. Please discontinue use and promptly schedule an appointment with a local urologist.

The pieces control how much of the needle will be inserted.

Yes, but make sure your partner is fully trained on how to apply the medicine. Many patients go with this method.

Yes, never near the head, never on the top – where most nerves are, never on the bottom.

The best position is at the 10 O’Clock when using your left hand or 2 O’Clock when using your right hand, when facing a clock. Most patients get the hang of it after once or twice.

The spongy tissue of your penis is less sensitive than your finger tips. You will feel a slight prick.

Here are some of the key elements of injecting.

Yes, of course, we want our patients to get it right!

Place the auto injector on the same side of the penis as the hand that holds the injector, right hand at the 2 o’clock or left hand at 10 o’clock position, anywhere from the base to the mid-shaft of the penis.

Press the button to release the needle into the penis, and then the spring action will slowly and automatically push the medicine into the penis – the injection is then completed.

Avoid the top of the penis at the 12 O’clock position to avoid large blood vessels and nerves. Also avoid any visible veins by pushing or rolling them out of the way using the nozzle of the auto injector.

When finished, gently pull the auto injector away and out, put it aside and firmly press the site of injection on your penis with
an alcohol pad for at least 2 minutes while letting go of the penis with the other hand. Apply pressure for at least 5 minutes if you are taking aspirin or other blood thinning medication.

Lastly, massage your penis for 5 to minutes 10 times to get the medicine throughout. The penis will become erect in 5 to 10 minutes.

Some pro tips on injecting.

We’ll make you a pro in no time!

Each time you inject, alternate injection sites on both sides of the penis and hold, press at the injection site after the injection to reduce the risk of any scar tissue.

Use your free hand to wipe one side of the penis with the alcohol pad. Pick up the auto injector with your dominate hand and hold it steady on the base of the shaft. Then press the button when you are ready.

If you are right-handed, use the left hand to hold the head of your penis and get ready use the auto injector in your right hand.
If you are left-handed, use the right hand to hold the head of your penis and get ready use the auto injector in your left hand.
Stretch the penis out and move it slightly to the left or right; keep the penis stretched out during the injection.

Most patients get use to applying the medicine after their first or second use. You can either use your dominate hand to inject on the left or right side with the auto injector or you can swap hands. Whichever is comfortable.

TRAINING INSTRUCTIONS: Syringe and Auto Injector Instructions Part 1

Introduction

The focus here is loading the syringe. Prepare all of your supplies. This step is very key to applying the medicine; we will explain to you how to prepare properly. The 1st step is to load the syringe. This is when you will get the syringe ready for use.

Wash your hands thoroughly with soap.

Use a new, never used syringe. Open a new alcohol pad, and wipe the rubber stopper at the top of your vial. Remove the orange cap from the syringe.

Pull the plunger to the level equal to your prescribed unit dosage. Pierce the rubber stopper in the middle of the vial and inject air from the syringe into the vial.

Turn the vial upside down; withdraw a small amount of fluid and inject it back into the vial, in order to get rid of air bubbles. Withdraw the fluid again and stop at the recommended dosage.

Pull the syringe out of the vial and replace the orange cap, covering the needle. The syringe is now loaded.

TRAINING INSTRUCTIONS: Syringe and Auto Injector Instructions Part 2

Introduction

The focus here is using the auto injector properly. We want to make sure patients get the injection part right. This will explain how to our new patients! This is how to get the auto injector ready and use it.

The first thing to do is to calibrate your device for the depth of the injection. You will use the long depth adjuster and screw it into the syringe housing at the letter c. This sets the needle to insert at 1/4 of an inch, which is the starting point. You can adjust for a less or longer depth later by adjusting the depth adjuster. 2 depth adjusters will be provided.

Then insert an unloaded syringe uncapped into the syringe housing firmly with the plunger pushed all the way down and view the needle protruding from the depth adjuster.

Then double check the depth with the depth guide and it should be set at 6mm which is about 1/4 of an inch. Then remove the syringe and insert the depth guide into the depth adjuster, it will be used to set the main housing unit, next you will insert the depth guide into the injector housing unit to push back the spring action and will hear a click.

Then insert your loaded syringe into the syringe housing unit, next you will screw the housing unit and syringe unit together. Then push the housing unit and syringe unit together releasing the safety feature by pushing them together.

At this time you will prepare to inject into your flaccid penis; to inject on 10 o’clock or 2 o’clock spot.

Make sure to use an alcohol pad and wipe the area where you will inject.

The final step to injecting is to press the button on the housing unit and wait 5 to 10 seconds to allow all the medicine to be injected. The auto injector will insert the needle and automatically inject the medicine with one push of the button. Then pull the housing unit and syringe unit in opposite directions slightly, followed by unscrewing the 2 units to empty out the syringe for safe disposal. You can clean your auto injector with alcohol pads.

Remember if you have an erection that lasts for 2 hours you must apply the reversal antidote that is usually in a dark vial the same way we just demonstrated how to apply the trimix medicine. The antidote medicine is called phenylephrine. It will reduce the swelling of blood vessels.

Already on Trimix Questions

Absolutely, we welcome current trimix patients to our platform.

We will need to onboard the patient to our telehealth platform as a new patient. Thereafter the patient can simply order refills.

The patient can choose to you use the old injector or the new auto injector provided. All new patients will receive a new auto injector. No auto injector is required on refills.

All new patients to the telehealth platform will receive the reversal antidote medicine. No reversal antidote medicine is required on refills.
